About Sledge, MS
The town of Sledge is located in Quitman County, Mississippi, and was once a gathering place for workers from nearby cotton fields. The Tunica Museums is about 30 minutes away from Sledge and the Delta Blues Museum, featuring exhibits of photos, guitars and histories of famous blues musicians, is about 45 minutes away from Sledge. Some of the businesses in Sledge are Richardson's Writing Service and Boyds Diner. One of the best places to visit when you are in Sledge is the nearby John W. Kyle State Park, located on Sardis Reservoir and with amenities and activities such as camping, swimming, a nature trail, tennis, golf and fishing.
