A water company that is ran out of a one room building with a partition to house the clerk for the upscale area of Hattiesburg? Garbage and junk is laying all around the building. The owner is very rude about taking payments after they are due and they are unable to provide proof of when a payment was made. 1 star is too many. These people keep cutting my apartments water of thinking it's some one else's. They do not take change and if you bill is late they make you pay the late and the next months bill even tho the bill is not due yet. The owner is rude and hateful I feel that this place is very unfriendly and the county should start a real water asst. in this area.for oak grove and Lamar county to be the best and brightest in the area this does not seem to reflex very well. ...read more

On June 26, 2014 I received a phone call at 6:23 a.m. from Charles Dixon stating that because I paid my bill late, he would be disconnecting my water on 6/30/14 first thing and charging me an additional $50.00 reconnect fee. If you pay it late it is a $5.00 late fee. On June 20th we went by the water company to pay our bill and was told payment could not be made because their computer system was down. He now is telling me I must pay my June bill even though I have not received it yet and he is not giving me until the due date to pay it. He is very, very rude! I have filed complaints with Public Service Commission in Jackson, MS This has got to stop!! The woman at the desk is beyond rude. I have had problems with my bill quite a few times and fixing the issue is always such a hassle. I have called the office and before I even asked my question, the woman was being snappy with me and acted annoyed that I even called. They refuse to remedy the problems they create. I love the apartment I live in but I am currently looking to move out solely to not be under this company anymore. Something seriously needs to change. After receiving a past due bill I calmly called the association to discuss the matter with the office staff knowing that my prior bill had been paid on time. The man who answered the phone, who had received my payment and failed to record said payment the previous month, repeatedly cut me off and talked down to me as though I was a piece of trash. After I explained the situation to him, he continued to deny that my bill had been paid, refused to accept responsibility for being the person to accept the payment and forgetting to credit my account, and threatened to shut my water off the following day if the bill were not paid. The man clearly is incompetent as he is not able to remember whom he accepts payments from and/or record payments on log in a timely fashion. As a mental health professional, I would say that the agitated attitude and the forgetfulness portrayed by the man appear to be signs of dementia which would lead me to believe he is no longer capable of performing the appropriate duties of his occupation. I would be very interested in attending an association meeting to discuss this matter with the board in person, but there are no websites, blogs, etc. that I can find posting when these meetings are held. I have never experienced a more back-woods run business in my entire life. Not only is the staff beyond rude, I believe there should be some way to have their business practices examined by some sort of board. I received a past due notice (but never an actual bill). The past due notice stated my bill was due by the 15th. So I decided to run by their office and pay the past due portion of the bill and told them I would be by on the15th to pay the remainder... they rudely refused the payment because they considered that a partial payment and they did not accept partial payments. Some older man came out from behind the counter and charged at me like an idiot, I have never seen anything more unprofessional in my life. He promptly then informed me that he would be buy 1st t hing in the morning to disconnect my water... and would then be charging me another $30. Upon realizing I had not received a bill, I contacted Arnold LIne Water to ask about the bill. At that time I was informed that our bill had been placed in someone else's name without our prior consent. Long story short, my husband asked, out of concern for this questionable business practice, if we could be guaranteed that in the future, no changes would be made to our account without informing us first. He was informed that no such guarantee could be made. The person also stated that, although I contacted them before the bill was due and, in essence made them aware of their mistake; they could not guarantee that we would not receive a late charge for the bill being dopped in their box after hours on the due date.
