Columbia is a city in Marion County of Mississippi. It is known as the Home of Mississippi Rodeo. In 1935, the first rodeo was held at Columbia’s City Park. It is famous for being the very first electric lighted outdoor night rodeo. Major attractions include Columbia Country Club and Columbia City Hall. Each year October, the city hosts the Legends of Bluegrass & Country Music Festival.
