Purchased first mattress from Meyer in 1982 after hearing great things about them from discriminating buyer. We were thrilled then with price and quality and had shopped around a lot. We've purchased others since and are now replacing a mattress. No need to replace the box spring with it. Since it's from Meyer, it's solid! I started the day by closing the deal on a new house. Excited, I began shopping around for furniture, comparing prices. Finally, I ended up at Weekends Only on Midrivers, in St. Peters. I walked in and was surprised to see a no-frills, warehouse style furniture showroom. As I walked around, I was shocked to see the differences in pricing. They seem to sell all the same furniture I was in the market for at sometimes 75 percent off! Ashley, Broyhill, Lane, etc. I was approached by a salesman, who was calm and casual... very low pressure. We chose a sofa, love, cocktail table and an entire bedroom set (must have made his day.. lol), and set up a delivery for the following weekend. $69 for the delivery but between the thousand dollars or so that I save on the purchase itself, plus the extraordinary customer service and and delivery guys, it was more than worth it. We purchased a couch the weekend of Jan 17th during what was supposed to be a major sale. The very next weekend; the couch was $50.00 cheaper and Weekends Only was not willing to honor the cheaper price in any way, shape or form. In fact; the person we spoke to was next to rude about it. We had come in that weekend to purchase more furniture for a new home purchased earlier that week, but no longer will be doing our shopping at that store. Instead of keeping the customer happy and honoring the $50.00 refund, Weekends Only has now lost a couple thousand dollars with our business. Not a very wise move on their part! ...read more

They do sell at ridiclous low prices and also have awesome salespeople. In fact, I went three places and came back because of my sales lady. I read the comments by Jan in O'Fallon, IL and have to totally disagree. Ashley is the only place I go to purchase furniture and I do it on a regular basis. I've shopped many furniture stores and Ashley give me the best value for my dollar. The store beautiful and I've had my Ashley furniture for many years. As for the experience with my sales person -- I have no idea what Jan is talking about. It was and always is the best experience of anywhere I go. Other stores ignore you and don't offer any assistance. At Ashley they write down answers to my questions and they ask question to find out how they can best help me. I don't know Jan maybe you had one bad experience or perhaps you're really a former employee trying to slander the Ashley good name. What I can tell people is this -- if you don't shop Ashley first you are missing out on something very special. Don't bother with this company in the metro east area or St. Louis area. Their furniture is cheap and probably won't last more and 3-4 years. The finish is terrible on their tall dining tables and coffee tables. If you are going to buy furniture go someplace else, save your money and buy higher end pieces. They will last so much longer and you will be happier. Their sales people act crazy with all their questions and trying to write down everything you say. I guess they must have been taught to do that, but it is very annoying. Arhaus furniture has unique and quality furniture, however, they do not have good customer service. It took three (3) sales people to understand how their own products were to be sold. I simply wanted a sectional, and it took two (2) different visits to straighten out what fabric selections were available for this piece of furniture. Once this issue was resolved, and a pricey amount was paid, we were informed that delivery would be approximately 6 weeks. After 12 weeks and two (2) separate incorrect deliveries, we still do not have the piece of furniture we ordered. There have been problems with the store, the sales/management staff and with the warehouse. We are still hopeful that we will receive a complete sectional at some point, but I would not recommend this store to anyone, for any reason.
