Maysville is a city located in DeKalb County, Missouri. It is the county seat and is near the northern part of the state. It is also a part of the St. Joseph, MO–KS Metropolitan Area. The population was 1,212 at the 2000 census. The city dates back to the year 1845 when commissioners were locating sites in the area to hold the county seat. They chose Maysville as the location.
