What should your electrical inspection include?

When should you get an electrical inspection?

The ESFI (Electrical Safety Foundation International) recommends Electrical Inspections for the following circumstances: Any home built more then 40 years ago-. Any home with major additions, renovations, or have added a new major appliance within the last 10 years. New owners of a previously owned home. If you experience flickering and dimming lights. If the circuit breakers trip or fuses blow often. If your outlet and light switch face plates are hot to the touch or discolored.  If you hear crackling, sizzling or buzzing from your outlets. If you have extension cords and mul­tiple power strips permanently in use around the house. We also recommend electrical inspections for individuals buying or selling their homes; adding new electrical appliances; adding on or remodeling parts of your home; curious about electricity consumption and/or experiencing any electrical problems. Electrical Inspections are beneficial to all current and potential property owners.  Whether just getting to know your current system, curious about energy consumption, or planning for future projects; Clint the Electrician's electrical inspections are an affordable way to gain incite about your electrical system. SPACE HEATER USERS BEWARE!!!

Hi everyone A-Team Electric would like to warn you about the risk of using a space heater in your home or office. Most home branch circuits are only 15 amps and most space heaters use 1500 watts of power so, that means that when you plug in your space heater it is using 12.5 amps of that 15 amp circuit. that in return means that the circuit is full with just the heater alone not including your lights t.v. ect...So what you want to do insted of overloading that circuit is have a master electrician install a circuit and outlet for that space heater alone.
