Peppercorn Grill

We had a party of 5 that dined at the Peppercorn Grill on 2/18/11. Three people in the party arrived between 6:00-06:15 and two didn't arrive until almost 06:45.The three who arrived early ordered three appetizer dishes which were served at 06:50. The waiter was then told by the thee that they had an appointment at 8pm when they ordered their food at 06:15. The waiter unfortunately waited until the late couple ordered to put everyones' order in. At 07:20 the food was not yet served and half of the party had to leave. The waiter was then told to box all the meals. The check total was 126.00 (no alcohol) the waiter was given a check card along with a $20.00bill (tip). .as the the service was poor.I later found out that the restaurant charded my card 146.00 . I call the r=restarant and was told that they automatically do that...so we paid 166.00. The food was average at best and the portions were very small....a very disappointing exerperience.! I would not reccoment this restaurant! ...read more

One of the ways I judge a restaurant is by the cleanliness of the bathroom and walking into the bathroom at the Peppercorn was like being hurled into a giant spittoon. The smell was so overpowering that I found myself reeling and had to grab the wall to maintain my balance. Glancing upward I noticed a spider staring down at me from the ceiling vent and it may have been my imagination but I swear it was wearing a miniature gas mask. The spider darted back into the vent and I raced out of the bathroom, through the bar, and out to the sidewalk where I stood gasping the fresh air for a couple of minutes before I ventured back inside. I ordered a beer and the bartender seemed like a nice enough guy and the glass appeared to be clean, but I refrained from ordering food for fear that the chef may have been in that bathroom at some earlier time. ...read more

My mother in law and I stopped in here on our way through Long Lake with expectations of fine dining, we were greeted by the owner who was extremely rude and seemed to be running - or at least trying to run - the whole restaurant himself (preparing food/drinks) and, despite only having two other customers, it took him 15 minutes just to get our drinks. A younger female bartender eventually showed up and was incredibly rude to us and inattentive. After waiting over an hour to get one cheeseburger and an order of beef stroganoff the quality of the food was worse than that of a fast food restaurant. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. ...read more

How Do Restaurants Make Enchiladas?

Many people think that an enchilada in a restaurant is much better than anything they can ever find at home, unless they know a lot of Hispanic people.
