The city of Hawley, named for Gov. Joseph Hawley, is located in Clay County, Minnesota, in the Fargo metro area. Major attractions include the Hawley Golf & Country Club and Westgate Park, which has playground equipment, picnic shelters, a roller blading/biking/walking path, an ice skating rink and a warming house. Each year in June, the Hawley Rodeo Fest is held here in the Hawley Rodeo Grounds. One of the best places to visit when you are in Hawley is nearby Buffalo River State Park, where you can enjoy activities like camping, swimming, fishing and picnicking.
