Knowledgeable staff, but inattentive...: They're very knowledgeable about the printing business, but lacked customer attentiveness and follow-through (at least with this small-order customer new to dealing with print shops). Initially they were helpful answering my questions and explaining differences in quality of service between a full-service print shop and office supply-store copy shops. Impressed with their expertise, I decided to try them out and submitted my file along with an RFQ. They responded fairly quickly with an estimate (1 day), so I placed the order with them. After that? They were brusque, unresponsive, and incommunicative. Didn't tell me up front what they needed from me to complete the job on time, or the limitations of the logo design for the type of printing I requested (offset)--took almost a week to point these things out to me. I spent time redesigning logo to match their specs (yet more time obtaining client approval), and submitted another file using printer's requested format (CMYK). Then I received email that they couldn't use that format either – had to convert the file to yet another format (spot color) or they offered to modify the file for me (for a fee which they could have quoted to save time, but didn't). And what happened when I responded to express frustration at how long the job was taking (2 weeks since I’d placed the order, and it still wasn't in press!) and asked what they needed from me to expedite the job? Rather than make any effort to work with me, salvage the job, and retain the customer, I was instead yelled at and blamed for the delay. Apparently not from "the-customer-is-always-right" school of business... so I took my business elsewhere (where they competitively quoted and completed the job in under a week). If you're not in a hurry or concerned about your vendor’s interpersonal skills, and you’re a big company or placing a pricey order, then these folks might do. For the rest of us, there are other more customer-friendly, responsive print shops in the area.
