Choosing a Carpet Cleaning Company by Tom Kohlman of Nature' Way

You have decided to get your carpets cleaned-that's the easy part.  You search Google or any of the other popular search engines and 10 to 15 carpet cleaning companies pop up in your area! Now what?  Most people and businesses these days put more importance on saving money than on QUALITY.  Quality seems to have faded out along with acid wash jeans.  Most companies today are focused on one thing and that's PROFIT.  So how do you decipher between which company to choose?  Companies that are focused on profit typically have lower quality reviews and more unhappy customers.  Companies that are focused on quality typically have higher reviews and more happy customers.  The best way to decide on which company to use that you found online is to check and read the reviews left by their customers.  If the company doesn't have any reviews than maybe the company is new which is not a bad thing.  If the company has bad reviews i.e. (a 3 out of 5 star rating or lower or a C to D rating) than I would steer clear of these companies.  What you want is a company with a minimum of 4 out of 5 stars or A to B rating.  Companies with higher review ratings are typically more focused on quality than profit.  Now what type of company would you want in your home? My guess is a company that is focused on quality....  In the carpet cleaning world for instance in Lapeer, Oxford or Rochester Hills, MI, a 5 bedroom home typically costs $125-$150 to steam clean thoroughly.  If your trying to save money and see a similar company advertising 5 rooms for $80, I would not recommend using this company.  These types of companies and their owners obviously see their services as not worthy of charging the typical price and for good reason; their quality is probably at "the bottom of the barrel".   They are willing to do the work at half the cost in some instances just to keep gas in their vans.  In the carpet cleaning world, QUALITY comes with a price.  So check the reviews on the company and check their prices and make your decision from there.  Good luck and God Bless!!Tom KohlmanNature's Way Carpet Cleaning&Restoration;248.633.4400 ...read more
