About Allen Park, MI
Allen Park, a suburb of Detroit, is located in Wayne County, Michigan. Allen Park, known as one of the Downriver communities, was called "One of America's Best Small Cities" by Money Magazine. The city is also home to the Uniroyal Tire, the world's largest tire. In 2009, the Professional Bowler's Association announced the the PBA World Series of Bowling will be held at the town's Thunderbowl Lanes. Students living here attend the Allen Park School District which consists of one high school, one middle school, and three elementary schools. The city's biggest employer is the Ford Motor Company. Many of it's offices and facilities are located in Allen Park. The city is also where the Detroit Lion's football team practices and their headquarters are located.
