About Waldoboro, ME
The town of Waldoboro, named for Samuel Waldo, a landowner, is located on the Medomak River at Muscongus Bay in Lincoln County, Maine. It was originally a German settlement and today, a major attraction is the Waldoboro Historical Society Museum, where you can see a tremendous variety of local memorabilia including a restored school, a barn and a hall with exhibits with period photographs and clothing from the 1800s, a pump organ and four firetrucks. One of the best places to visit when you are in Waldoboro is the the Waldo Theatre, which features a wide range of entertainment from adult and youth theatre, to comedians and concerts of modern and classical music.
