Strong is a small community that is located within the county of Franklin from Maine. Strong is known for holding the yearly Sandy River Festival. Major attractions for the Strong area include the Mount Blue State Park and the Nordica Homestead Museum. Among the biggest companies in Strong are AK Designs and Strong Wood Products. The biggest schools to be found within the Strong region are the Mount Abram Regional High School and the Hardy School.
