Terrible experience. I've rented from all the local Marinas on a regular basis over the years. We have boats in the family but need an extra once or twice a season when lots of family visit. Never had a problem with any of the others but these guys wouldn't let me cancel my reservation in a massive thunderstorm and wouldn't even cut me a price break or give me a voucher for some other time. The next day they gave me the smallest piece of ____ boat I've ever been on. It was outright dangerous as it did not reliably start and even worse took upwards of 40 seconds to kill the engine. In a ski boat you need to be able to kill the engine In a second or two in case someone is in the water near the prop by accident. I found myself standing off a good distance from the kids when approaching them after falling off the tube and making them swim the distance to boat after the engine finally stopped sputtering and the prop stopped turning. Very dangerous! I spent 10 years in the US Coast Guard and would have taken major issue with an outfit like this had I run into them in Coast Guard patrolled waters. I recommend looking elsewhere for your rentals in the Naples, ME area. ...read more

Purchased an O'Brien tube for ~$250 that we were not pleased with. It had a side slide action that may have been great for older kids or adults but our 8 and 9 year old were too light and the tube could not be controlled - Kids hated it. With 1 kid a little heavier than the other the tube would shift to one side and was very difficult to get back over the wake. After about 2 hours of trouble shooting and trying different things I decided to return it. When I brought it back and explained the situation the business owner tried to imply that the issue was my fault - he gave me a look as if I was lying. When I advised that I wanted to return/swap it he said "look at the position you are putting me in - I won't be able to resell this as a new tube." I've not run into many small businesses where the business owner is more concerned with his position than the customer. He finally let me swap it out for a flat tube - even trade for a cheaper tube - he kept the difference. Stay Away! ...read more
