Grant and his crew did a wonderful job with our home! We had a bad experience before and we were a little apprehensive on hiring another painter/handyman to work on our house. Grant was extremely gracious with our needs and expectations, and the work was done quickly and efficiently. We've already scheduled him for yearly maintenance. ...read more

This place was amazing! I went here for a quick lunch and the food was served promptly and hot. I sat outside on the patio and it was amazing. There were places with sun and shade! The waitstaff was great. They were helpful and very focused. Also the food was Awesome! I recommend the fajita's or fish tacos. I also love the Shrimp cocktail and the brownie that was served table side. I would recommend this place to anyone whether you are a party of 1 or a party of 28! ...read more

Our Story

Our 40 years in the industry really began in 1983 when my father started M&W Painting. He has always taught me to take pride in my work and believes he is not just painting a house; he's putting his name on it. That demand for quality helped M&W to become the premier painting company to serve mid-coast Maine through the 90's, employing over 20 painters and providing top-tier work to hundreds of new construction projects. Painting however is not protected by any licensing and by the time the recession hit in 2008 we saw our competitors were engaged in a fight to the bottom. Strategies like cutting corners, calling employees independent contractors, or using poor quality paints to reduce cost were not an option for us. Unwilling to sacrifice the beauty, longevity, or legality of our work and seeing no other way to compete, we exited the industry. Painting is in our blood though and we weren't going down without a fight. We have spent a great deal of time building G&G Painting from the ground up to be competitive while preserving our passion for quality. We reduced overhead, optimized job-sequencing, and increased on-site productivity. We will never be as good as we can be, but we have a framework for continuous improvement. This far it has allowed us to offer the complete interior/exterior painting of new construction for less than 5% of total project cost. That price is not only excellent for the area; it is competitive at a national level. At the end of the day we want the world to have a beautiful and affordable paint job. Whether or not we are considered for a project we urge anyone looking to hire a painter to request the use of industry standards, they are designed to ensure the work is done right. If you can't afford a professional painter, contact us anyway, we are happy to provide free tips and advice. ...read more

Amazing Healing!

I am an Eastern Medicine Energy Healer trained in different methods of healing, including Reiki, Western Shamanism, and European techniques of Transpersonal Hypnotherapy.  I work with vital energy known as prana/chi, the “life force” which is found in every living thing; the earth, water, plants, animals, and the air we breathe. I work in the traditional sense with the major energy centers, known as the chakras and the luminous energy field surrounding the human body, known as the aura. And, I work with inner thoughts, patterns, and habits of the subconscious mind on a very deep soul level. The methods I am trained to practice bring about health and well-being for all the aspects of you: Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual. By connecting you with your body and your own body’s wisdom these sessions are known to reduce physical and emotional Pain, work through Anger, reduce Anxiety and Stress and other unwanted emotions such as fear, guilt, jealousy, and shame and restore you to health. In these sessions I offer healing tools that are specifically designed to connect you with what’s alive within you. When each of us connect with what’s alive within us we begin to see ourselves as the unique individual human that is host to a beautiful and loving soul. These healing tools guide you toward inner peace, relaxation and deep feelings of balance and grounded-ness. One of the core teachings of integrative health care is that every physical ailment has an emotional attachment. Through Energy work, Regression therapy, or Shamanic healing, by working spiritually on your emotional problems you can heal your physical issues. The purpose of a session is to support healing, realigning one with one’s true path, source, and spirit. The mind and body are one and where thoughts go, energy flows. When the luminous energy is balanced, healing on a deeper level begins to take place and when this happens one will find their true path resulting in a healthy body, mind, heart, and soul. Although you will feel the healing effects of the first session, depending on your goal, your desired results may require more than one session. This may be determined after your first initial session. I work on your schedule, your pace. You are in the driver’s seat as to what feel right to you. The healing process that results from a session can manifest in many ways. After sessions, a client may simply start healing naturally as their body restores and balances itself. Clients’ may also find themselves feeling calmer or more mentally clear so that they can help themselves more efficiently and effectively in ways they may previously could not see.  Studies have also shown that directly after a session the logical mind may take longer for the effects of the session to be known, thus healing continues for several days to a week afterwards. All Sessions clear and enhance energy according to the needs of the individual body. No two sessions are alike. All sessions include but not limited to: Energy work through touch, progressive relaxation techniques, connection with the four winds and helping allies, and essences of the gems, stones, crystals, and the sacred sage. ...read more
