About Lusby, MD
Lusby is town in the Southern part of Calvert County, Maryland. Major attractions include the nearby resort town of Solomons Island. Lusby has a community park that includes football, baseball, lacrosse fields, Calvert Cliff State Parks with miles of trails and famous fossil hunting, and a public golf course. Among the biggest companies in Lusby are Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant and Dominion Resources, which runs a compressed natural gas plant. Dominion Cove Point is one of the nation's largest liquefied natural gas import facilities. Many residents commute to Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Andrews Air Force Base, or to the Washington, D.C. area. The biggest schools here are Appeal, Dowell and Patuxent Elementary, Southern and Mill Creek Middle, and Patuxent High school.
