Net heat output of eco logs is 4.85 KWh/kg and that of the latter is 3.83 KWh/kg. So, when it comes to moisture content and heat output, eco logs firewood is better than traditional firewood. Eco firewood is becoming more and more popular. There are more customers asking about this type of firewood. This is a renewable wood fuel that is way more efficient than traditional firewood. You don't even need to season it.              As the moisture content is low, eco heat logs are warmer. This also means that there will be less tar build up in your stove and chimney. Tar build up due to natural firewood can reduce the operational lifetime of your stove and chimney. When you are burning unseasoned and wet firewood, this can lead to creosote build up as well. When you burn wet firewood, most of the energy is wasted in evaporating the moisture. This is the reason why wet or unseasoned wood produces less heat. The water content in freshly chopped firewood is more than 50%. There are some hardwoods in which the moisture content is between 35% and 50% when chopped freshly.
