Never had a problem until this last time we ate there which was January 3rd 2015. Me and my two boys got violently ill and were taken to Newton/Wellesley Hospital two hours after eating for severe food poisoning. I spoke with Emily who works at Lotus Flower the next day to let her know what had happened at which time she offered us a gift card from the restaurant. In my opinion this restaurant is highly inconsistent - you have a 50/50 chance of the food \t\n\t\nbeing either decently edible or totally inedible.\t\n\t\nToday was my fourth visit and it was totally inedible:\t\n\t\nBaby Back Ribs -OLD,OLD,OLD meat. I sent the plate back and what returned was more old meat.\t\n\t\nCucumber Salad - Mushy (I would have never thought that possible with cucumbers until I tasted \t\n\t\nit myself).\t\n\t\nCollard Greens - Meat within them was dry and the collard greens were bland.\t\n\t\nCorn Bread - This I ate because it was the only thing on my plate that was something worth 3 \t\n\t\nstars.\t\n\t\nYams - were served swimming in water and is the breaking point at which I had to write this \t\n\t\nreview because it added insult to injury.\t\n\t\nSo why did I return to a restaurant four times if the food is only edible at best? Because I \t\n\t\nam a big lover of BBQ and have become desperate since my favorite Texas Roadhouse BBQ had a \t\n\t\nroach sighting and their ribs turned into shoe leather.\t\n\t\nIf you must visit this restaurant at least do your self a favor and order nothing more than \t\n\t\nthe $15 or less plates of ribs so that you don't spend too too much on old hog if it happens \t\n\t\nto be inedible that day.\t\n\t\nAs for me I just won't eat anymore BBQ until I get back to Cali. ...read more
