Requested a bed/matress for an elderly patient with hypertension,diabetes, leg amputee, and breathing problems. Because patient missed an appt the doctor could not write up a a diagnosis to fax over to LinCare so that she could get another mattress so that she could sleep comfortably as the one she has is too soft and she has to put blankets under the middle to keep it from sagging. Lincare just needed authorzation to replace the mattress but Dr was going on vacation until the 20th of Sep and she had been sleeping on the bed this long why not wait a little longer. Perhaps her diagnosis will change, the leg will re- grow thus changing the diagnosis of over ten years. Why does this 81 yo lady have to wait another ten days for some assistance - we are all going to get old one day if we keep on living. Doc office did not say the above comment about the regrowth of leg - my words Please advise - thanks for reading. Dr is Dr George Fakhre - staff answered all of my calls not him. ...read more
