About Fulton, KY
The city of Fulton, named for the county, which was named for inventor Robert Fulton, is located on the Tennessee border in Fulton County, Kentucky in the Jackson Purchase region. Major attractions within minutes of Fulton include the J. Houston Gordon Museum and the Obion County Museum, which features a collection of antique toys and tools, a log cabin and a one-room schoolhouse, and includes a collection of historic photographs and other exhibits. One of the best places to visit when you are in Fulton is the nearby, 156-acre Columbus Belmont State Park, site of the Civil War Battle of Belmont and with a museum, camping, trails, miniature golf and picnic areas.
