About Barbourville, KY
Barbourville is a city located in Knox County, Kentucky. It is also the county seat. The city is home to annual festivals such as the Daniel Boone Festival, which includes open air concerts, carnival attractions, a parade, beauty pageant, and other events, and the Springtime Rosebud Festival, which began as a quilting workshop, other crafts, storytelling, art shows, and s cooking school. There are two high schools located in the city, Barbourville High School and the Knox Central High School. These two high schools have an extremely intense basketball rivalry. Attractions in the city include William Whitley State Historic Site, Cumberland Falls State Park, and the Levi Jackson State Park. Other attractions include the Barbourville Recreational Park and Waves Water Park.
