I loved First Federal. I banked there when I first came to the area in 1995. When I learned about the advantages of on line banking I went in and asked to get on it. They told me they didn't have it and didn't see it in the immediate future. That was about ten years ago. That was the only reason I now bank in Hays. The people there are wonderful and I could get a loan on a handshake, they always were friendly and called me by name and I never had a bad experience, but with an E-trade account I just about have to have on line, so I left and would go back in a heartbeat if they ever offered it. To this day, I would go back. I miss the friendly small town service and just plain hospitality. I understand that they just can't afford the extra employees and cost of start up and maintenance involved, but still regret it. fredt ...read more
