Satanta is a city in Haskell County of Kansas. It covers a total area of 0.5 sq miles. Major attractions include Cimarron Valley Golf Club. The city hosts Satanta Day on the second Saturday of May, each year. Among the biggest companies in Satanta are Satanta District Hospital, [Centera Bank], [United Prairie Ag], [Satanta Grocery], [Cimarron Valley Rail Road] and [USD #507 - The Satanta Indians.] USD #507 consists of Satanta Elementary and Satanta Jr-Sr High Schools. One of the best places to visit on Satanta Day when you are in Satanta is "The Old Timer's Breakfast" generally held at the Satanta United Methodist Church, "Main Street" Saturday Morning for the parade & the craft show at the Old City Hall building & Frans Lounge welcomes everyone home all day on Satanta Day. [The Satanta Inn] is a 12 room Inn with each room individually decorated (Red Hat Room, Seaside Room, Fisherman's Room, Americana Room, etc.) with facilities for cleaning birds during pheasant season. The INN caters to local residents, out of town visitors, workers, hunters and their needs. The El Indio Restaurant is located just to the East of the INN and serves authentic Mexican and American food. The restaurant has a select group of beer from the U.S. and Mexico.
