Jungle Island, Miami's entertainment destination, is located on Watson Island, in the heart of the city, between Downtown Miami and South Beach. The multifaceted grounds host Miami's newest theme park, home to the world's most rare and incredible animals.
Som...e of Jungle Island’s most famous animal residents include Pinky, the hire-wire bicycle riding Cockatoo, Mama Cass, the only tame Cassowary on the planet, and Hercules, the liger who was added to the Guiness Book of World Records in 2006 and currently still holds the record for World’s Largest Cat. Jungle Island is also home to Pumpkin and Peanut, only the third set of Orangutan twins to be born in captivity.
Guests marvel at the engaging animal shows and presentations, participate in hands-on interactions with fascinating animals, and are amazed by the park's breathtaking landscapes and vistas. Guests can also go behind the scenes at Jungle Island with an exclusive VIP Safari Tour.

Beat the heat and cool off on La Playa, Jungle Island's Private Beach. Relax under a shady umbrella, recline on a comfortable chaise lounge chair, and enjoy a Playa Colada while overlooking the beautiful Biscayne Bay landscape.
Kids love La Playa, too! With exhilarating water slides, a fun bounce house and a swim area to make a splash in, we've definitely put the "play" in Playa!
La Playa features:
• Inflatable Fun Stations
- The Big Kahuna - This exciting ride allows the little ones to climb 17 feet to a plateau, where they will take a seat and take a slide down the waves. Then, they'll splash into a refreshing pool. (This slide may be converted into a dry slide in cooler weather.)
- Splish ‘N Splash 180 Degree Slide - Featuring 180 degrees of fun, Splish ‘N Splash invites children to conquer a rock climb and water slide, and then go at it again, for double the wet and wild sliding fun. (This slide may be converted into a dry slide in cooler weather.)
- SpongeBob SquarePants Obstacle Course - The little ones can visit their favorite pineapple under the sea with this dry land adventure. This obstacle course bounce house offers a large interior jumping area where children can try their hand at a basketball hoop, log and pop-up obstacles, climbing feature and a thrilling exit slide through a Tiki God's mouth for loads of fun.
•A Taste of the Islands - Enjoy a variety tropical drinks and snacks. From a Playa Colada to a frosty popsicle, you'll always find a tasty treat to beat the summer heat!
La Playa will close in the event of visible lightning or severe inclement weather.
Please note: Footwear is required at all times on La Playa - both on the sand and in the water. If you prefer not to bring aquatic shoes from home, they will be available for everyday prices in our Island Treasures and Gifts Shop.

Beautiful Park Gorgeous Ballrooms
Jungle Island is a beautiful park, very well maintained with a large array of animals including penguins. It is the only place to see penguins in Miami - I love penguins. Their Banquet facilities are not only gorgeous but the staff is amazing. They make sure to go o...ut of their way to make your events wonderful. I cannot wait to get married at Jungle Island.
