I was looking forward to Willie's coming back...grew up going to the one in Markham as a kid....tried it yesterday. VERY slow service. Two out of the three girls working there were handling food and handling cash money and then sticking their hands into frozen French fry bags. No gloves worn. As I waited to get my hot dog, I watched one of the girls go in and out of a freezer pulling food. People ordered hamburgers and they were filling orders but no hamburgers were being cooked on the flat top let alone a grill - they were being popped into a small microwave. There was no smell of cooking burgers either. I know they are just re-opening so that have to get into their groove but if this is how they are going to run things, not going to last long. DON'T EVEN THINk ABOUT DINING HERE� The female owner is very rude, inconsiderate, and prejudice (I'm African American). Here's my story. My friend and I went to the restaurant to try something new -- this was a big mistake. After making reservations we had to wait 15 minutes. Being Friday and payday, we decided to order the lobster -- another mistake. We were both unable to eat the lobster because if was tasteless, tough, chewy and had an aftertaste. We complained to the waitress who let the owner know we were not not satisfied for the reasons stated. Our food was taken to the back (i assume the kitchen) by the owner who returned to tell us she disagreed with us and there was nothing she could do. She offered no apology or discount on our $125.00 bill (not including the tip to the waitress). How could you take our full plates away and not offer a discount??? We are two middle-class working women who wrote this off as a loss...The waitress was apologizing for the owner's behavior. If you are looking for good service and good food, please, I plead to you to run and not consider this restaurant to dine in. ...read more

Rather than an Irish "pub" it is more of an Irish family style retaurant although they have a small side bar that is pub-like. They have hands down the best Corn Beef and Cabbage and Ruben sandwiches in town! I go for the Rubens. On the down side a lot of their other traditional Irish dishes are not so good. Their Irish Lamb Stew in my opinion is terrible as it their fish n chips. Most of the other dishes are pretty good though especially the daily specials. ...read more
