Why the negatives about a place everyone else has raved about the excellence for years. Parent who expects free care? Parent who doesn't understand policies and contracts? Parents who just like to complain If there was any truth to the comments then this school would not be licensed by Boise City. ...read more

Ms. Kathy is a complete fake! I went into her facility and she came off as so sweet and excited to have my 4-year old there. Despite my asking for clarity several times, she led me to believe that it was a daycare/pre-school and that she would work with me and my schedule. I was so excited at the thought of having an enriching and learning environment for my kid at such a great cost. BOY WAS I DUPED!!! My experience was the same as the other two reviews! First off, Ms. Kathy has a Jekyll and Hyde personality. She initially comes off very sweet like a grandma then turns into "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane" (Betty Davis) crazy. She started to complain about payments....scheduling...when I could drop him off....when he could be picked up AND her prices kept going up every week! My son became increasingly terrified of "going to school" which leads me to believe she is just as nasty and snarly with the children as she is with the parents. After I confronted her about all of her constant "yelling" at me when I would walk in the door--and all of her building complaints she called me on the phone and left a MESSAGE that it wasn't working for her....Thus leaving me to scramble to find daycare over the weekend for the next Monday. She even bilked me out of $40 for a pre-paid week. In my opinion she shouldn't even be working with children. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND IRRITATION...DO NOT GO TO CREATIVE HANDS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL -- IT'S A JOKE! I strongly recommend NEVER taking your kids here! ...read more

My daughter went there for 2 weeks and the teacher Kathy said the other parents didn't like when they heard her cry and scream when we left her. Im not even sure she even screamed but she did cry, she did however stop and was fine the rest of the time. I think it is ridiciouls if a teacher cannot work with a child and rely on other parents to say if the child should be there or not. Also she returned my registration fee which I guess she doesn't usually do, she said she shouldn't just because we were late to meet with her the first day. I'm not sure how she thought that because she told us to come between 11 and 12:30 we got there at 12:00. So I think she has to much going on if she can't even remember when we arrived there. Every time we went there there was a boy that always had a runny nose, she never even wiped it, how gross having your child around that no wonder kids get sick these days. So its up to you if you choose to have your child go here I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. ...read more

Brown Mackie College - Boise

I attended for a little over a year in the legal studies department. It was okay at first, but eventually I realized I was not getting a quality education. Classes were way too easy, and I had a 4.0. Not that I'm complaining about my grade, but I didn't learn anything. All you had to do to pass was show up. They also said when we started that we would have a state-of-the-art law library, but in over a year's time the legal department had barely 2 rows of books on narrow shelves. Instead of putting our tuition money into our program, they built high-tech dental assisting and veternarian labs. It was very disappointing. Working in the legal field already, I recognized that this expensive education wasn't really worth anything. Fortunately I found a reputable state college that accepted my credits (although I have to take some classes over), and I've learned more in one semester there than I did in over a year at Brown Mackie Boise. I'm very glad I left BMC. ...read more

This college is bad news, they lie, steal, cheat, abuse you, ask you to hand out falsified resumes and their staff's morals are HIGHLY questionable. Look into the complaint boards before you enroll. It was the worst mistake of my life. ...read more

I had my son in daycare prior to this school and the difference has been night and day! Overland Montessori has a phenomenal staff that is dedicated to ensuring the success of each child. Gail Wroblewski is truly a dedicated professional who understands the amazing potential that kids have. She works with them to develop academically, socially, and personally. My son is excited about learning and actually *likes* going to school! His vocabulary and reading skills have improved dramatically in only a few months. The structured atmosphere provides a safe environment where children can flourish. I highly recommend this school. ...read more

I started my oldest daughter at Overland Montessori in 2009 after being very dissatisfied at her previous preschool. Both my husband and I wanted our girls to learn at school, not just play with toys all day. Since my oldest started there she has come home saying the most extrodinary things about what she learned or what they did that day. I am so confident in their curriculm for the children that as soon as my youngest turned 3 she was placed in the school as well. Gail Wroblewkis the primary teacher at the school has a wonderful way with the children, and the "montessori" way of teaching has been wonderful for my girls.. I would highly recommend this school. ...read more

I love this photographer! Not only did exceed all our expectations for a beautiful wedding album, but he also helped us through some anxious moments during the planning. His experience and professional attitude made a huge difference when we had to make changes in our location and time. He helped us find another place and even worked with the caterer to smooth that over too! Plus the photos were perfect at showing the emotions of the day. More than we ever expected. ...read more

"Work on yourself harder than you work on your job.If you work on your job you can make a living. If you work on yourself you can make a fortune." -Jim Rohn. Parable of the Rocks, Sand & Water

"The feeling of being hurried is not usually the result of living a full life and having no time. It is on the contrary born of a vague fear that we are wasting our life. When we do not do the one thing we ought to do, we have no time for anything else- we are the busiest people in the world."                      --- Eric Hoffer "Spare time?    WHAT SPARE TIME???"   Have you ever felt like there simply aren't enough hours in the day? Have you ever felt like the more you get done, the more there is TO be done? Even when we have the best of intentions, somehow our days and weeks get bogged down with the mundane. The routine. Work.  More work. Chores and more chores. Never-ending to-do lists. It's the end of another week, and we didn't work on our plan to Escape the Rat Race. The Parable of the Rocks, Sand and Water Let me share a parable with you.  A wise old teacher sought to teach his student a solemn lesson.  So he pulled out an old jar, then carefully gathered together some rocks, sand, and water.  As the student looked on in puzzlement, the teacher proceeded to fill the jar to the brim with rocks. "Is the jar full?" asked the Sensei.   "Indeed, it is completely full"  said the eager student without hesitation.  The teacher then went on to pour all the sand into the spaces between the big rocks.  The sand flowed into the cracks, settling comfortably.  Now the jar was really full. "Is the jar full?" asked the Sensei.  " I... um.. no?" said the doubtful student. Smiling, the Sensei took the water and poured it with ease into the jar. Standing back, the Sensei asked his student:   "What have you learned?" "That there is always room for more!" exclaimed the student. Shaking his head in disappointment, the sensei emptied the jar, and asked the student to fill the jar again, but this time, in reverse order.  So the student filled the jar with water.  As he did so he found that there was no room for the sand.  And found that there was no room for the rocks.  The Lesson of the Big Rocks Parable? You do not have an infinite capacity to fill your life with STUFF. Prioritization matters. If you put the BIG ROCKS into your life first... there will be room for the SAND.  If you put the SAND into your life next... there will be room for the WATER. But if you put the WATER in first, you will be overcome by a Tidal Wave! Water is limitless, and always eager to flow into any available space.  If you let the demon called Tidal Wave take control, he will leave room for nothing else. You will forever be a rat running on a wheel. You will unfortunately not escape the Rat Race. What are your Big Rocks? What are the big rocks in your life? Family? Health ~ be it Physical ~ Mental ~ Spiritual? Making a positive difference in the world? Fulfillment? What is the sand in your life? Making a living? Friends? Routine chores? What is the water in your life? TV? Endless surfing of the net? Email? Other leisure activities? You have to decide what fits into each category for you.  There is no absolute or right/wrong answer. There is only your answer.  To totally de-stress your life and start living check this out! ...read more
