Excellent, prompt, compassionate and thorough care. the best i've ever seen in a doctor's office! staff was caring, professional, and skilled. there was almost no waiting in the waiting room or the exam room. everyone was wonderful. the doctor took great care in examining my problem as well as my history and even made sure i got up to date on things that were long overdue. Dr. Patra is very dedicated. He was my dpctor from November to March, 2010. He has been giving me extensive Ects (shock treatments). He is very concerned about my future. He doesn't want me to have to be in Mercy Hospital in Sioux City or to have a relapse.. He talked to some of my family members and myself and actually gave us an hour of his time. He seems to have a very good sense of humor, but at the same time he realizes that I lost a half-year of my life and understands the gravity of the situation. He said I could stop the treatments anytime, but my family thinks I am doing better on Saphris and maintenance monthly treatments. Saphris was the breakthrough I needed, after they tried so many medications that just didn't do any good. He always seems to be in a hurry, but he will look at my lists of questions that I have for him before having me put under with the anesthesiologist present.
