About Higdon Law

Mary Higdon is originally from Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. She attended Indiana University in the early 1990’s where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with Minors in Spanish, History and Public & Environmental Affairs.

Following a longing for the West in her youth, she moved to Arizona where she developed a career in Social Services. She served as a Bureau Chief in the Victim Services Division at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office while she completed her Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

A desire to move closer to family brought her back to the Midwest where she received her Juris Doctorate degree, and is now licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Indiana. During law school she was President of Equal Justice Works, and worked in the Elderly Clinic her final year.

Ms. Higdon has been a Criminal Defense Attorney as well as a Deputy Prosecutor in Monroe County, IN. She has a passion for working with people, and as a client of hers, you can expect full attention to all of your concerns. Her experience has given her valuable, practical knowledge about the legal system.
