Laie Chevron Food Mart

This is the worst gas station I have ever been to. The prices are too high, I assume because they prey upon the fact that its the only gas station nearby, and students at the nearby university have no other option. One time, after I cancelled an order on a broken machine, and tried to use another one, while this was happening, another person pulled in and found to his surprise that I had already swiped my card, so he didn't have to pay for his gas! It has been a year since I have given those scumbags any of my money, I either go to the 76 station in Kaaawa, or the gas station in Kahuku. ...read more

Annexation of the Hawaiian Islands

http://hubpages.com/hub/Annexation-of-The-Hawaiian-Islands To those of us who are fairly new to Hawaii, we have to more or less learn for ourselves about the so-called injustices that were done to the "Native Hawaiian" people. We get a sense that something happened when we hear of recent assaults by locals on military personnel or tourists. But the stories are veiled since they are not particularly a draw for the tourists that keep the state economy from folding. ...read more
