whats "good" ? My dog is dead

I initially got referred top this " dr " via carecrdit , essentially a vet credit card. I've had some rough experiences with vets, I have a semi disabled dog, and I've found most of them care little, and are only interested in money..\t\ndr. skains ( not capitalized on purpose) was no exception. My Bosotn Terrier was a 7 year old healthy dog. She used to have bound;less energy and used to run with me. I began to notice she was drinking TONS of water, and behaving lethargic, so I made an appt. and took her in. skains initially diagnosed her with a bad thyroid, and prescribed expensive thyroid meds. After a few weeks, I noticed no change in my dog, she was getting worse. They kept insisting to wait longer and I keep pumping her the meds, again, no change. This went on for a few months, despite her obvious deterioration. \t\nA friend of my Mom's who has Bostons, suggested my dog may have " canine cushing's "disease. Evidently its common in Boston Terriers. I researched this, online, and found my dogs symptoms matched this disease perfectly. every symptom. I suggested this to skains, and she pooh-poohed me essentially telling me i didnt know what i was talking about, and I cant believe everything I read on the internet. I insisted my dog get tested, and of course, she was positive. I recieved no apology from skains, no " my bad", she was basically as rude and crappy as she usually was. It got so bad with skains, the last few months I dealt only with her assistant.\t\nTuesday 12/9/09 the very day she tested positive for canine cushings disease, she could hardly walk, and had alot of blood in her stool. She was throwing up blood as well. I rushed her to the emergency vet, where she died 5 hours later of septic shock.\t\nI had an necropsy done on her, and the initial results , according to the vet at the emergency hospital, who, was super nice and compassionate by the way, said her death was consistent with a dog ho had advanced cushings. He said her liver was huge, and abnormally shaped, and she essentially couldnt process her food. Im waiting or the rest of the results....\t\nHad skains figured this out sooner, she would still be alive. Had skains listened to me, when I first suggested this, she may still be alive. When I called skains to tell her my dog was dead, she apologized, but again was rude, b*tchy, and un-professional. The entire time Ive dealt with this " dr" she was as rude, short and snappy as any "professional" I have ever met. Her arrogance and negligence, in my opinion, led to my dog's death. \t\nNot only did i lose my dog, but had this woman one inclination of what she was doing, my dog would still be here.. I'm currently looking into legal options. I wouldn't recommend the good shepperd, or the horrible owner " dr" skains to my worst enemy.
