Despite having a multitude of vacant tables (all of them) outside, the restaurant would not allow us to bring our puppy. We arrived by boat so she either stayed with us in the restaurant or we stayed with her on the boat. So we opted to do takeout and eat on the water. In a nutshell here are our complaints! We did not get any eating utensils, they weren't going to let us have a takeout Margarita even though they knew we were having dinner on the property (their marina), and we were charged more than the menu listed price for our meal, and the food portion was sparse. ...read more

Okay, we let the GPS pick the eating establishment, It was an adventure so to speak. When we arrived we put our names on a list and did wait sometime for our table, but it was worth it. The employees were great, the attitudes were great, there were no nonesense answers to food delays, we felt like we were at home with relatives waiting on dinner. I read the bad reviews and only have to laugh. These folks do not appreciate honest folk who are running a very good business. Part of the great atmosphere is the attitude. Their attitude is arrogant. All five of us at the table were overcharged by $3 per entree for seafood. We were told that the price of seafood went up 30% in the last two weeks. I had been at Appalachicola two days previously and, despite the oil spill, the price of my seafood in FL was unchanged. The waitress charged me $2 for my drink (water), then acted like it was our table's fault that she made a mistake. The management did refund part of our money when I complained, but he was rude about it. ...read more
