Where do you need General Practice Medicine Clinics ?

Best Pet Care!
Shively is a wonderful clinic with talented and compassionate vets.\t\n\t\nTo those of you blaming Shively because you were too stupid to take your pet to an actual 24 hour emergency clinic when they need it, congratulations, you murdered your pet all by your self. You disgust me.

Yeah, they may offer great service... but i wouldn't know. I needed after hours care and they wouldn't provide it for me because I was not an established client . . .THANKS FOR NOTHING!

I live in Radcliff, over an hour away from the clinic. I have 7 animals, 4 cats and 3 dogs. All of my animals recieve treatment from this amazing clinic. Yes, there is a long long wait, but if you catch them around lunch, its usually not as busy. They treat your animals like they are children and even refer to them as "babies'. They're prices are EXTREMELY low and it is well worth the drive and the wait. Two of my pets have horrible allergies and I drive 2 hours round trip because they are the only people I trust with my pets. I highly recommend them.

They are great. Take time with you and your pet. I don't understand the one negative review. It does not sound like them at all. Any day you go there the waiting room is crowded because people are willing to wait for someone who really cares about their pet. Simple as that. I drive 60 miles round trip to see them.
By JosephCharlestown at Citysearch October 16, 2008 at 03:36 PMVery Poor Judgement Calls
WELL I THINK THE DOORS SHOULD BE CLOSED AT THIS LOCATION.. THE EXPERIENCE WAS CRAPPY.. ALSO A POOR HELPLESS SICK DOG WAS THE VICTOM OF THIS PLACE.. SHE WAS IN DIE OR NEED OF EMERGENCY TREATMENT AND THE VET KNEW SHE WAS COMING.. SHE NEEDED AN IV BUT THIS PLACE CHOSE NOT TO GIVE IT TO HER AND THEN THEY PUT A NOTE IN HIS ACCOUNT THE OWNER THAT IS THAT HE REFUSED ANY TREATMENT AT ALL.. BUT THAT IS SO NOT TRUE.. THE MAN THAT OWNES THIS PET WOULD LET THE PET EAT, SLEEP,BATH,ETC. BEFORE HE WOULD THINK ABOUT HISSELF.. SO NOW HE HAD TO BARRY HIS FAITHFUL COMPANION TODAY.. SO IF YOU HAVE ANY COMPASSION THEN YOU WILL RETHINK YOUR DESICIONS ABOUT HOW, OR WHAT KIND OF TREATMENT YOUR PET RECIEVES.. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO WHEN THE MONEY MEANS MORE THAN THE TREATMENT.... I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS LOCATION EVER AGIAN.......
By melissay29 at Citysearch September 06, 2008 at 02:49 PMThe best vet we've had in a long time!
Shively animal clinic was recommended to us by a friend last week when our 10 year old dalmatian was having back spasms. The clinic is open 7 days a week and doesn't charge emergency fees (during normal hours)-even on the weekends! Sure, the wait was long but it was well worth it. Everyone that works there is so nice--from the vets to the receptionist! The vet we saw listened to us and really took the time to examine our dog even though it was towards the end of the day and they were very busy. It was good to have a vet that gave us honest information and didn't recommend a countless tests or surgeries (we've heard it all). She gave our dog some medication and two days later she was running around like a pup. We treat our dog like our child and felt like these are the type of vets that understand that--they even called the next day to see how she was doing! We won't take our dog anywhere else...this is the best place we've ever taken our dog! Not to mention, their prices are ridiculously low!
By clona17 at Citysearch December 06, 2007 at 12:22 PMThe wait is worth the service!
Yes the wait is long. Ask anyone who takes their pet to Shively on a regular basis and they will all say the very same thing.... "it's worth it". I have tried many other clinics, for we all want the best care for our babies right? Well, Shively offers you that and then some. They are extremely knowledgable, friendly and compassionate. They are the cheapest clinic in town and if that isn't enough... they work with you on the bill! How many vets do that these days? \t\nMy dog is deathly allergic to fleas. I have tried different vets, different treatments and it was Dr. David at Shively that helped him get the best and final regular treatment. He gets a new flea allergy shot once a month. No more spending numorous dollars on different expensive foods, dips, topicals, and such. Just a shot. I have referred everyone I know there and I have heard NO ONE complain about the service they have received. For those of you who live close, they offer another wonderful service. (Yes it does get better.) You can sign in and they will call you when you are next in to see the doctor!!!! This is great for night-shifters, mothers, care givers, and even the person who can't be around alot of people in one room. \t\nWell, I think I have told enough of this secret place, time for you to find out for yourself.
