Freedom Homes

We bought a new modular home from Freedom Homes in Troutman. After the contract was signed and $25,000 paid down on our home, the problems started. It turned into an arguement just trying to get anything done. We would be told one thing and then told it was not in the contract. I never got any furnace filters installed because we were told this was the way it was designed. I got tired of arguing and spent $250. myself building a bos around the unit so I could instal filters. We were told that termite traps would be installed around the perimeter of the home after the sorry landscaping was done. I called and was told by John Putman, the general manager, that they were not in the contract.They cost me $400. to have them installed.The best thing to do is go somewhere else to buy your home. If you do decide to deal with FREEDOM HOMES in Troutman, be sure to wear a wire so they might remember what they have promised.

Freedom Homes is the worst place to even look for a home. They treated us like trash and assumed that because we were looking at mobile homes that we were stupid enough to pay 50,000 dollars for a single wide,when we were looking at a much bigger home. You see the problem was that Freedom homes would not have made the money off of the home we wanted,so they tried to convince us that we should be grateful to get the house we did not want. Their GM John is horrible and we would never even consider buying so much as a doll house off of this horrible man. These people are so unethical I do not even know how they sleep at night. I have told everyone I know and will continue to do so because I do not want anyone else to be treated the way we were treated. Please everyone buy your home from somewhere else do not give these people the chance to rip you off. These people do not care about what their customer wants and have no interest in being fair or doing the right thing. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

We had the most horrible experience at Freedom Homes. No one should ever be treated like we were. These people try to force you to take a house you do not want and then the GM John takes you into his office and tells you that you are lucky to get the house they want you to have(which of course is the one they make the most money off of) because he did not think you should have gotten that loan. These people make their customers feel like trash and expect you to thank them for it. This tactic is unethical at the very least and maybe even illegal(I will have to check on that one). I do not know how these people sleep at night. They try to take advantage of poor people because they think we are stupid. I hope this review protects people from making a huge mistake by purchasing a home from Freedom Homes.
