If you come from up north you will notice a difference in the quality of service and even the quality of the prepared foods. This location seems to be about maximizing profit. Compared to other locations they do as little as they're required to when it comes to customer service. A couple examples: Costco has recently made coupons automatic. No book needed. A little while before this switch the cashiers at the Palm Beach Gardens location wouldn't have spares on hand in case you forgot your book. Any other location I've shopped at would. They'd tell you that they can't help you because the coupons are collected and turned in. They would tell you that it was orders from corporate. If that were true, they'd collect them in the self checkout lanes but they never did. There is no place to submit coupons in the self checkout lane. They are also a lot stricter on returns than other locations and seem to be getting stricter all the time. As long as your item doesn't fall into the electronics category it should fall under the lifetime guarantee but this location has other rules. I'm not talking about big ticket items either. They will refuse to take an item back if they don't sell it anymore, even with a receipt. They'll look at dates on food so something is wrong with it and you don't get it back to them immediately because it slipped your mind they will try to tell you you're out of luck. But go to another location and you'll get a refund without a hassle. Shopping here is not a true Costco experience. I don't shop here with the same frequency I did up north. My experience today was not an isolated one. If you go to this store, expect to be accosted by a sales person every few minutes, but don't expect to get the same service when it is time to check out. On a Saturday afternoon, three registers stood empty while the poor cashier at the returns center tried to handle the long line of people checking out.
