Westview Community Cemetery

Over the weekend, I attended a burial at Westview Community Cemetery. This place is an absolute disgrace! It is decrepit of any form of humanity, containing above ground graves (easily accessible to grave robbers, (read the news reports, this is happening right in OUR Tri-county), They nearly sit one on top of the another, you have to step on some to get to your loved ones, with water and soda bottles left on top of them. Also, no grass or flowers to be seen! It looks and feels like Hell on earth! I am heartbroken to know that anyone is left there as a final resting place! It is disrespectful to have such a place be the final resting place for even a dog! ...read more

I have never written a review, but after a funeral there are many things that you reflect upon and want to share with people that you know and love, and people that you've never met.||[]||[]When you are in the dilemma of planning a funeral and have never had to go through it before, you are at the mercy of the funeral home that you choose.||[]||[]When you are fortunate enough to find a kindhearted man like Bill Savino, you take the time to write a review on him. This is, after all, the person who helped you get through the worst time of your life.||[]||[]The entire staff there made us feel so comfortable at a so uncomfortable time.||[]||[]He helped guide me and my family into planning an unforgettable, memorable event, and what I expected to be so much more painful, ended up being somehow rewarding, in her memory.||[]||[]If you have ever had the uneasy experience of planning a funeral for someone you love, my advice to you is DO YOUR HOMEWORK and meet the people who may be handling everything for your family.||[]||[]I sincerely recommend Bill Savino to everyone. He is compassionate and helped me when I needed it the most.||[]||[]Thank you Bill. ...read more

As a former funeral director and funeral home owner for many years, I just wanted to chime in here. In a way, I am glad that I am no longer in the funeral business because in the more recent years I've noticed more and more "dark" practices. I'm not saying that this goes on between Savino Funeral Home and Northwest Medical, but it's very common for hospital morgue employees to earn financial kickbacks from a funeral home for referring business to the funeral home regardless if it's the best option for the family in need. All I am saying here, is please shop around and find the best option for you. There are other funeral homes literally 5 minutes away such as Eden Funeral Home and Kraeer Funeral Home. It could be that Savino Funeral Home is the best option, which is fine. But feel free to do your homework first. May God Bless you and your families. ...read more

I was referred to Savino Funeral Home yesterday by Northwest Medical....seems like a nice funeral home (I drove by yesterday)....but after reading these reviews I'm a bit skeptical. Both the bad posts and the good posts seem a bit untruthful (maybe even exagerrated). The negative posts seem like a personal grudge, but then the good posts are most probably reviews from the funeral home's staff. Seems like a lot of bad blood and poor history between the community and the funeral home's owners. I prefer to stay away. ...read more

Savino Funeral Home is located directly across for Northwest Medical Center where I was losing (and lost) my husband. We had fallen on hard times financially and had never made and pre-arrangements. I truly did not know what I was going to do.||[]||[]I saw the funeral home when leaving the hospital and decided to just go in and talk to someone about my husband's wish for cremation. I expected to leave with nothing accomplished. It was a whim to visit them.||[]||[]I met Bill Savino. He graciously sat with me and asked, "how can I help you"? Embarrassingly, I explained my situation. All I'm going to say is, that Bill... 'made it happen' for me, and my husband when the time came.||[]||[]How will I thank him? How can I thank him? I guess only through my prayers...||[]Thank you and God bless you.... ...read more

My husband and I recently attended a funeral at Savino Funeral Home. I was truly impressed and felt comfort for the family.. Tiffany and Bill 's caring and professionalism turned a sad occasion into a beautiful memory for all. Tears were shed, and many good memories shared. The family and friends had nothing but gratitude and thanks to all the staff of the funeral home. It was a caring, loving experience. I have never been to an affair of this nature and felt so positive when I left. All funerals should be handled in this manner. Lots of love, caring and memories. ...read more

Thanks mjoe8596 for your post. Very insightful. I recently used Savino Funeral Home for arrangements in March and was very disgusted and let down with the service I received from the owner's assistant - Tiffay Labar. During such a hard time in my life I would expect only compassionate and helpful services from a funeral home. After reading your post I dug around a bit and I feel like my family and I were taken for a ride. Tiffany Labar has absolutely no funeral industry experience whatsoever. If you visit this link: http://courtcon.co.palm-beach.fl.us/pls/jiwp/ck_public_qry_cpty.cp_personcase_setup_idx and search by her name, she has almost 10 cases against her....she's ran 2-3 spas and tanning salons to the ground, bankruptcies against her, also a foreclosure. I wonder if the Hospital across the street knows the history of the employees behind Savino Funeral Home. ...read more

I attended a funeral & visitation this week at Savino Funeral Home and it was the most beautiful and memorable funeral service I have ever been to. Bill Savino & Tiffany and their entire staff were amazing. They made everyone feel so comfortable and at home. They had food & drinks too. It was more like a 'remembering life' experience. I highly recommend them, it was truly heartwarming. ...read more

I have always had trouble with funerals/cemetaries. I finally was brave enough to visit to find the hours were 9-5, like a desk job. I can understand security risks, but there is security 24/7 anyways, so why not extend visiting hours for those of us with grief after dark. ...read more
