My fiancé and I were looking to rent a condo in this neighborhood and we found a place we really loved. Im 20 and she's 21. We submitted our app, the landlord approved us, and all we had to do was wait on the association. Our credit score is well above what they asked, we make more than enough money, and our backgrounds are clean. They emailed our realitor claiming that our credit score is "0." We printed out paperwork to prove that we have credit and they snobbishly said "we don't use that. We have our own way of doing it." Weve went out of our way to prove that our credit couldn't possibly be "0" and they wanted nothing to do with what we offered. They didn't ask for an interview it anything and we feel that it's because of our age. We have credit cards that are up to date in payments, which means our score can't possibly be "0." Very frustrated because they took $200 from us, never gave us a chance, and now we have to wait for the landlord to give us our deposit of $1000 back. ...read more
