Doing most of the research to find the most conversative way to redo landscaping, I came across Duda Sod in Hastings, FL. In a short span of 4-6 weeks, I began to notice brown spots in the lawn. Upon repeatedly calling to inquire about possible resolutions on the matter, I kept getting promised that 'they would come by and fix it'.. It's now been six months after initial installation and I'm forced to resod about 1-2 pallets worth. Be weary of these folks, as they only care about one thing: receiving that payment..! Once the transaction appears to be completed, there's no room for pride in standing behind the product that they claim to be of pedigree quality..Considering purchasing sod from the nearby GA farms, as they appear to properly treat for chinch bugs, weeds, and other infectious harms like fungus..! ...read more

St Johns County, new home sales are really taking off

At the national level, The Associated Press reported many buyers are turning to new construction because there is a shrinking supply of existing homes for sale. But new construction has been unable to keep up with demand. Potential buyers are searching for homes amid a healthy job market with a 4.1 percent unemployment rate and attractive 30-year mortgage rates that are averaging less than four percent. Still, the lack of properties on the market has fueled higher prices, creating affordability pressures. The average sales price of a new home jumped 13.6 percent over the past 12 months to $400,200. For St. Johns County, the average price of a new home, not counting townhomes or condominiums, through the first 10 months of the year was $368,315, according to Metro Market Trends.
