Eli - Kudos to you for picking up the Seinfeld reference. It certainly would be convenient if my review were phony, but unfortunately for you, my experience is very real. My review came 16 years later because I'm angry and I could no longer look at my ring knowing we we...re scammed - my husband wasted TEN THOUSAND $ on a ring that was only ever worth $4,500 at best!! I did not pay for 11 appraisals, that's absurd!! The jeweler I just sold it to was horrified by the discrepancy between your appraisal (which by the way was NOT GIA certified, as you claim). And don't get me started on the visible occlusion that wasn't present on the stone you showed my husband - and conveniently hidden by one of the prongs - did you even sell him the same stone that you showed him or did you switch it out for an inferior stone? This last 'review' is phoney to its core - no such person (Vandelay... as in Seinfeld??) or such experience is connected to this company, and certainly not 16 years ago... Why would someone write this as a review is beyond me. When an appraisal is made, it is always bas...ed and accompanies a lab report from GIA or EGL, and to actually do as 'Vandalay' claims 'eleven appraisals at an average cost of $85 each is insane...! Also, bear in mind, that we are not a retailer and do not have a store, we work with jewelers around the country designing and making custom orders for their clients and have no direct contact with the clients of those retailers. I got engaged same time as a friend, and we both got our rings from Eli. She had hers appraised and learned that there was a huge discrepancy between Eli's appraisal and 2 other jewelers. This concerned me so I then had mine appraised. Same story, my diamond was sever...al levels below what Eli stated - and even the platinum was diluted with sub standard metals.
