About Tifton, GA
The city of Tifton, named for H.H. Tift, a sawmill supervisor, is located in Tift County, Georgia. Major attractions include the Georgia Agrirama Living History Museum and the Tifton Museum of Arts & Heritage. Each year in May, the Love Affair Fine Arts Festival is held here. One of the biggest schools here is Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. One of the best places to visit when you are in Tifton is nearby, 1,613 acre Reed Bingham State Park, with camping, swimming, hiking, boating, fishing and picnic areas. A notable resident of Tifton has included singer-songwriter, Cyndi Thomson.
