About Hockessin, DE
Hockessin is located in New Castle County, Delaware and was originally settled by the Quakers. The first Roman Catholic Church in Delaware was also located in Hockessin. The town is now known for its mushroom and dairy farms such as the Lavendar Hill Herb Farm and the Woodside Farm and Creamery which serves homemade fudge and ice cream to visitors. Sanford School and Wilmington Christian School are two K-12 schools in Hockessin. Hockessin hosts the annual Fourth of July Relays and Parade.
