Ridgefield, Connecticut is a historic 300-year old town in Connecticut's Fairfield County region, often considered a New York City suburban region. The town has a number of bucolic taverns, shops, and boutiques that are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Art, music, and dramatic performance locales abound. Ridgefield is home to nine public schools and two private schools. Ridgefield High School is the town's largest schooling institution.
