My husband was deployed to Iraq in March and prior to his delopment we ordered him a pair of Converse Sage Green boots for $96.00 with free shipping from Desert-Gear.com. When the boots arrived just prior to his deployment they had a hard plastic or metal piece that st...uck into his ankle and he was not able to wear them since they were defective. Steve told me to return the boots for a full refund. I told Steve that I wanted to order him another pair of boots to have sent over to Iraq which I did. I then ordered a pair of Rockport Military boots to ensure that the Converse ones did not arrive in Iraq defective again in case their was a problem with that particular batch. I paid for the Rockport boots out of pocket again because I was in the process of shipping the defective Converse boots back.
