De Marinis Dom & Phil's Pizza & More On Conway

I've not been compelled to write about a restaurant until visiting De Marinis in Conway Street. While the service was friendly and adequate the food did not meet my expectations. The garlic bread was a thin slice of Wonderbread with a semi-melted slab of cheese and a bit of parsley for decoration. The cheese, sausage, mushroom pizza had very little sauce and lacked flavor. I would not recommend or return to this restaurant.

Erratic terrible food. We go here about 10 times a year and food is very erratic every time. It was so bad this Friday that we won't be going back ever again. We ordered salads, zucchini, mozzarella sticks, large pizza, lobster ravoli, pitcher of beer. The zucchini, pizza, and mozzarella sticks were soggy, terribly limpy, and oily. This tells me fryers needed to be changed and cleaned. Salads were plain, no toppings with loaded dressing for $2.25 which should have been $1.00. Beer was ok but warm and could have been served with ice cold mugs. Waitress knew we were mad but didnt ask us how the food was once. The pizza was just so limpy it was disgusting and the sauce on the lobster ravoli was way to much it took out the taste of the lobster. Just very bad food and service again. When you order a pizza crust should be crispy not soggy and appetizers should be crisp and not oily. Beer should be cold and salads should have more toppings for 2.25 a salad. We wasted $60 again at this place and won't make that mistake again. They need to manage this place better and clean up the kitchen mistakes and equipment. I wouldnt recommend going here at all unless you like bad food and service.
