Last visit to Oliver's today. I'll be heading to Waterbury or Naugatuck to do my shopping. I've been unhappy with Oliver's for a while now but today was the last straw. Had a problem at the fast checkout counter, and instead of trying to help resolve the problem, the girl proceeded to laugh with the bag boy.. They laughed discretely but I noticed it nonetheless. Their prices are sky high and you have to examine every perishable item because they have a habit of selling out dated products. I can't say how many times I've come home to find that the expiration date on the meat has expired or will expire the same day. The staff isn't what is used to be (been going to the store for 35 years). I'd rather drive a little farther for better prices and service. ...read more
