Nice Facilities, but That's Where it Ends

I've been taking lessons for a while here, and back when Stacey taught, the barn had tension, but it ran. Someone there took charge and knew what they were doing. Since she left, the owner has been in charge, and doesn't really know enough to own or run a barn alone. They don't write bills, so sometimes you get hassled about things you've already paid for. For the ridiculous price of board, your horse might not even get its own stall, and probably won't get the care you pay for. The barn in 'heated' but your horse will still need the heaviest blankets you have. The instructors now seem appropriate for beginning riding, but other than that, are not helpful and unqualified. Neither have degrees in equine related areas, or impressive show accolades. This barn is full of wonderful boarders, but due to bad management, is unsafe, full of high-school drama, and frustrating

Nice Barn, Terrible management

The barn is very nice and clean, but is run by people who do not care about your horse and/or do not know what they are doing. The barn currently has no real manager. Although most of the boarders are very pleasant and nice to be around the barn holds a lot of tension. The arena is a great size, but is constantly filled with jumps. So if you are not interested in jumping it is hard to ride in. The arena also has way too much sand. Canterbrooke is extremely expensive, but you do not get what you pay for. Horses were fed moldy hay. I felt like I had to check on my horse everyday in order to make sure she had everything she needed. For the most part Canterbrooke is too money oriented, and does not focus enough on boarder and horse happiness.

Not So Happy Boarder

Clean, nice, breezy facility in spring/summer. Horrible management. Not a nice place to be if you want to just enjoy your horse, a lot of tension. You get nickle and dimed on everything and still may not get what you pay for - too much drama!! Supposedly heated front barn but is never remotely close to comfortable. You can not count on them to watch your horse, after chores are done no management is around. All in all, this place only focuses on money income rather than the safety of your horse.
