I had never been to an event like it before, but now I'm hooked. \t\nNorris sat on stage and opened up to the audience about her childhood and family history. It was really an inspiring moment. I had the most enchanted evening last night at the Blue Moon Gallery in Sacramento. The show's focus was on the work of Douglas Newton (ink and block print) and Sharon Zachary (sculptor). Both artists are outstanding in their fields. Douglas Newton is a very talented young man that I would highly encourage collector's to follow - AND SUPPORT! (I purchased three of his pieces last night myself, and had not meet this man before.) Douglas is clearly at the beginning of his career. For him to bring so many emotional and intellectual gems to the tablet this early, is truly exciting! I am greatful to the Blue Moon Gallery for all they did to make this evening possible. ...read more
