Riverside, located in the northwest region of California was founded in 1870 and is known as the city of arts and innovation. Riverside got its name, because it's located right next to the Santa Ana River. Riverside has also been the home of the California citrus industry. Major attractions here include the Riverside Mission Inn, Riverside Fox Theater and The March Field Air Museum. Riverside has many events around the year namely, Riverside Orange Blossom Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Dickens Festival, Renaissance Pleasure Faire and Cinco De Mayo. Among the biggest employers in Riverside are the University of California and the Riverside Unified School District. The biggest schools here include California Southern Law School and Kaplan College. One of the best places to visit when you are in Riverside is The Sherman Indian Museum.
