Ligtelyn will steer you to the flight/hotel that will generate the highest fees for them. Very limited, overpriced inventory of hotels that they have fee arrangements with. Worse, they misrepresent the qualities of the hotels with fees for them as well as ones you find on your own (that they don't want you to book). (They told me that a hotel I found on my own was too small for us while trying to book us into an even smaller, more expensive room). Expedia offers a much larger selection with absolutely no obligation to book through them. We wanted a suite for a trip to Europe, Ligtelyn said there was nothing available of that description. Expedia found excellent--and cheaper--places for us. Do not give them any money on the promise it will be refunded if you don't book through them--they refused to return my "refundable" payment. They also tell you to book immediately--the flight/hotel etc. is almost sold out. When you call directly, you find out it's not true. ...read more

This is a horrible agency and I suggest that anyone booking a vacation look elsewhere. I travel often for work and I am quite familiar with the process of booking flights, hotels and vehicles. However, since this was a vacation, we sought advice and went with this agency. Our agent was particularly poor. We booked a fairly expensive vacation. There was poor communication, mistakes, and when we were told these mistakes would be resolved, they were not. Their attitude is flippant and once they have your money they do not want to be bothered. Our travel documents were not mailed because of their mistake so we were told we had to come pick them up as time was short. A couple days before we were to leave, we realized they did not correct a mistake so we called. Our agent was supposed to contact us later and did not. THe next day or so when we called back, she said oh i did not have time to call back because I had someone come in who was considering booking a very expensive vacation. This agency has lost our future business and will not receive any praise from me or my colleagues. ...read more

Being computer savvy and loving the Google tools, I have used several on-line booking engines for hotels and seemingly easily arranged packages only to find out that for the "great" price I was getting, the compromise was a less than standard room location at the wonderful resort or worse, flight problems that I had no one to call for help. When I finally got home and compared not only the time it took me to get the level of service I thought I had paid for through the resort and the extra money in transfers and meals I thought were included, I went and booked my next trip with All Horizons Travel. My talent was not in travel arranging, so my next trip on line was to search for Travel Agencies in my area and I talked to Maureen Jones at All Horizons Travel about Tahiti, Fiji and Australia. I ended up in Fiji and loved it so much, not only because she was able to upgrade my room with just a phone call, but because I knew that if anything went wrong, I had one number to call if I needed help. Maureen sympathized with my previous travel crises as we have all have had them, but with an experienced travel agent, there is a level of savvy that they just love to share and can really make the trip! Her comment, and I totally agree, is "without a travel agent, you are on your own!" ...read more
