I went back to Expedia.com and made the reservation at Island Pacific Hotel and recieved an email with my itenerary number. Now, I am ready to call Expedia to request the Best Price Guarantee (BPG). Read theTerms and ConditionsBEFORE you call so you know what they expect. (You must request the BPG within 24 hours,the room must be for the same date and same size room). Prepare to overcome Expedia's objections. In my situation Ctrip.com described the room as "Side Harbour View Room" and Expedia had the same room labeled as a "Standard Room." In this situation I called Island Pacific Hotel and asked them if the room I booked through Expedia is also called "Side Harbour View Room." They said, "Yes." Now I was ready to call Expedia(open 24 hours a day, seven days a week at or they willask for your itinerary number and then ask for which web site you found a better price. (note: if you cannot get through to a live person, send them anemailwhich fulfills their 24 notice requirement) In my situation. When you are successful they will give you an 8 number reference number (write it down). Now wait a couple hours and check to make sure you have a credit on credit card.
