Is bartering in my business right for me?
If you are looking for new ways to attract more customers and improve sales why not use an old form of business called barter. ITEX is an barter exchange who work as the "middle man" for transactions. If you have excess inventory, time slots open, ITEX in Fresno can help by targeting other members who need your services or products. We use email, our websitewww.itex.comand directories to contact other ITEX business owners who are interested in trading. It is simple. Any business owner or professional who has a product or service to offer can barter. Simply put, bartering is the trading of one product or service for another..but with ITEX we use ITEX checks so you can buy with one member but sell to another. ITEX will set up an account for you and your trade dollars will be kept in this account. As your broker for the Fresno area I will help you find the items you need. If you have any questions please ask. I have been trading and bartering with my business for 10 years and I love it!! We have bought items on trade that we couldn't have afforded with cash. Travel and accommodations, advertising for cash business, services and products are the 4 categories that you can buy and sell using your ITEX trade dollars. ...read more

Father's Day Memories
This is the 100th year of Father's Day! It was establish in 1910. And I like to take this time to remember some things about my Dad and invite everyone to share some special memories of their own about their Dad. First off my Dad was a WWII Vet. and is no longer here with me, but if he were I know I'd be getting an ear full about what is going on with our country right now. He was always proud to have served and proud to be an America! My parent had divorced when I was young so some of the things I remember most take place in my younger year when I got to go with my Dad for a visit. While Mom always wanted to keep me safe the story was a lot different with Dad. I learned to drive when I was 11 years old, my Dad would let me drive his old 69 Ford Pick-up truck, and I don't mean drive around in a field or something I drove my Dad everywhere to town and all around the countryside, and even in the mountains a few times. We were lucky I never got pulled over… Mom would have never let me see Dad again. And if she knew about all the times Dad dropped me and some friends off at one end of the river and let us float to the other end with only an inner tube oh WOW that for sure would have been trouble. There were a lot of fun times with Dad, and sometimes I did get hurt like the time he let me ride this big buckskin horse with no saddle or reins, I got thrown off and sprung my ankle we talked my Mom into letting me stay with Dad one more night in hopes the swelling would go down so she wouldn't knew. I have so many stories like that. I hope you will please share some of your memories about your Dad with us. Thank you for stopping by ~Vel~ ...read more
